What a dilemma…

I’m an idealist. As an idealist, I believe that everything works out for the best. It’s worked so far.

However, maybe I just keep making the right decisions. Yeah, right! I think it’s because I adapt to the outcomes of decisions I make, then continue believing that everything works out for the best.

My latest decision is to decide for myself if I’m working for the money, or for the passion of what I do. Why can’t it be both? I wonder that all the time, but so far I haven’t found that kind of opportunity. Right now I’m doing what I do for a “passion,” but how long does the honeymoon phase last? It’s great until I have to pay the bills or realize I can’t go shopping whenever or go to every concert that comes through the city.

Isn’t it true that work is just one part of you that should be getting you the money, while your hobbies are what you should be passionate about? If your work is your passion, you’ll either come to hate your passion or be a workaholic. I can’t justify why you would want to spend most of your waking hours doing “work” just for the money though.

This article always inspires me, because it also roots for passion. In the long run we’re truly living only one life. Our own. So, why not, right? Heh, I just hope it gets easier soon.
