Today is July 7, or what I like to call “Lynn Day.”  It’s a self-proclaimed focus-on-myself day and gives me something to look forward to, just for me. More on that in a future post.

In any case that’s why today, of all days, I decided to start a blog here on wordpress.com.  Why? Well, even though I have another blog that I’ve been writing in for seven years now, it’s been limited to select friends (and given how personal those entries have gotten sometimes, I’d prefer to keep it that way!).

Anyway, lately I’ve been intrigued by the whole Web 2.0 thing, with so much more interactivity on the Internet. Instead of just being entertained by it though, I thought it’d be fun to start getting involved. After all, I just started a new job last month in marketing and communications and apparently this is the direction we’re all headed in.

So here I am. Be prepared to hear about my random thoughts, insights, and other musings in relationships, the single life, working towards *the* career, social life, and so on.  

I can’t wait!
